Where I left off...

I woke up where I left off yesterday, weepy.  Does this happen to everyone as they get older?  I used to be so strong...  It was a tough morning.  I didn't want to talk to anyone, so I turned my notices off, but left my phone on vibrate, in case the school called.  Just as I thought, they called about 10, as Caleb wasn't feeling good.  His tummy has been bothering him (but of course he wanted to go to school).  So, it's a darn good thing I didn't turn it off.

It's been a total mixture of being productive (making bean soup, hummus, doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen), and doing absolutely nothing, except watching t.v. and playing Angry Birds.  Nice.  I was going to spin tonight, but Brian got home too late, and I couldn't leave Cal with him not feeling well.  I'll keep him home tomorrow, too.  This means I need to cancel my appt. w/ my trainer.  I'm also trying to figure out WHEN do I make an appt. w/ a knee Dr.?  Do I keep doing what I'm doing (minus the treadmill), and see them in a month.  Or, do I see them now?  I'm terrified of what they're going to tell me, so I figure I'll put it off.  But it does suck....it hurts.

I hate that I got back on this rollercoaster...I need to do something drastic.  Clearly, I am not making smart enough choices, so I need to follow the Eat To Live plan.  I know it works.  It's my best shot at feeling good, when I turn 40...but it's probably too late for that.  I'll do my best starting tomorrow, but I know that I need a ton of groceries for it.  I don't have enough fresh fruits and veggies here to support it.

Until tomorrow my friends.  Hope you are having a good day.

Hang in there Jen! I just finished watching the DVD called Forks Over Knives and thought of you...yeah I realize that sounds kinda odd. Anyway, after seeing my Naturopath for three months now and watching that, I fully believe food plays a huge part in not only our health but our physical and emotional well-being.

I've eliminated dairy and red meat, now I have to work on wheat and sugar. I'm doing better but holey cow it's hard. Those items are hiding in everything! I take my time shopping so that I can read all labels.

Take care and just take one day at a time.

Hey Sher! Forks Over Knives is my fave documentary of this sort. I actually saw it in the theater :)
Yes, making the big adjustments to the way you eat is huge at first. Hopefully you come to love it real soon. Just takes some getting used to. Let me know if you have any questions about eliminating the dairy.
Thanks for checking in. Oh, check out the Live Mousse recipe. To die for!
