Non-Sober

My friend Tami (aka Cookie) arrived safe and sound yesterday.  It's so nice to see her!  Last night we went to the local watering hole.  To my complete surprise, there was quite a few people in there (maybe 15 or more).  There's never anyone in there, so it was cool to find a good vibe in there.  Anyway, I ordered a double Capt. Morgans and Coke.  The waitress looks at me, and said a double?  I said, yeah, like in a tall glass.  I wasn't totally confident as I rarely order hard alcohol, but I've seen my friend order it that way...so I thought I was right.  Anyway, when she brought me my drink, she then asked Cookie "how do you make that?"  (Cookie had ordered a gin and tonic....)  We were dying....  Out here, usually the bartender just cracks open a can of Bush Light or Miller Light for people.  Later on in the evening I ordered a pint of Killians Red.  She looked at me and said what?  I said, it's on the tap....  Then she grabbed a pint glass and asked if that was the right glass.  Freaking hilarious.  Gotta love it....  We had the best time.  It was just what the Dr. ordered!  (Well, that and doubling up my Zoloft :)  I have to tell you, though.  I'm moving mighty slowly this morning.  Today I'm very thankful that I didn't have to go to work.  I felt the way I used to feel at work, after a night out w/ Kathy.  Ah, the good 'ol days.  I miss working w/ her.  Oh, and I miss her in general.
So, speaking of work....I didn't get the job.  I was pretty surprised. I thought we would've been a good fit, but I guess I was wrong.  It wasn't meant to be.  I'll find something that's right for me, I'm sure.
I've been PMS'ing for a few days now.  Good God...I swear my cycle controls my life.  I swear I've dried up everywhere...why can't I dry up there?!  Bring on the menopause.  Hell....I will be 4-0 in a few months.  I  tell you menopause would be THE BEST GIFT EVER!
