Mornings, Blech!

If you know me at all, you know that I am a terrible morning person.  I wish it weren't like this.  I wish I woke up ready to tackle the world.  But for me, it's ALWAYS been hard to drag my ass out of bed and get going.  So, what was great about today, is I was forced to get up and go.  I'd made plans with a friend to go to the gym at 8.  So, essentially, just after I got the boys off to school, we were on our way to the gym.  Another friend joined us, so that was super cool.  My knee has been bugging me a bit since Sat., so I knew I needed to stay off the treadmill today, so I hit the incumbent bike.  I really enjoy it.  I just need to work on pushing myself more.  After the bike, I hit the weights.  I'm really glad I got it out of the way this morning.  It's felt good not to have to dread it all day (man, I wish I actually enjoyed working out).  I'm going to have to work on getting more morning workouts in.  I'll never look forward to it, but once I'm done, I always feel on top of the world.

Today has been fairly busy, doing things that unemployed people do... cleaning, made a soup, ran errands, etc.  It's only 6:17, and I'm starting to get awfully tired.  I know a lot of it has to do w/ this stupid period.  Hopefully tomorrow will be the turnaround day.  :)

Food:
8:00  Smoothie (banana, soy milk, flax seed, spinach, frozen blueberries)
11:30  (2) toasted Thomas whole wheat muffins w/ avocado and tomato, and an apple, Caffeine free Diet Coke
1:30  Slice of apricot breakfast bread (made it yesterday, not too bad-fairly healthy)
3:30  Other half of Ryne's apricot bread....he didn't like it.
5:15  Barilla Plus angel hair (whole wheat) pasta w/ spaghetti sauce w/ black olives, plus steamed veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, squash, carrots, zucchini)
5:45  2 bites of brownie

Exercise:
40 mins incumbent bike, weights, and after got home took Jr. out for 1/2 mile walk
