I got a ton done around the house today. I rearranged the main bathroom, throwing out old prescriptions, moving stuff around on the shelves, re-did the drawers, mopped the floor by hand. You know, the kind of things that offer excitement and vitality to my life! I was able to get a few other things done, too, before the boys got home.
Tonight I did my second spin class. This one went much better than the first. At the advise of Le Ann, I went with a big 'ol overnight maxi pad. And let me tell you....it really helped keep some of the crotch pain away. Period or not, I'm wearing one of those bad boys every time I go now. I've now worked out 7 days in a row! I feel great!!!!!
Tomorrow I'll have to go into town and get an early morning workout. I have an 11:15 root canal. For joy!!!.... So, I figure if I don't get my workout in first thing, I'll be useless the rest of the day. I've had one before, and it was pure fucking hell. So needless to say....tomorrow won't be my favorite day. Not to mention all of the $ the tooth is going to cost me. So, here's my advice kids....take care of your teeth when you're a kid, or when you're creeping up on 40...all those old fucking fillings will start to break and cause damage. I've learned this lesson the hard way. Oh, if I could go back in time, as a kid, I'd buy my own floss...and make my folks send me to the dentist...oh, and brush before bed time. Starting to do that shit in your 20's in a tad too late, when you've had your mouth worked on, on an island in Alaska at 18... Maybe they should just wire my mouth shut. It'd sure make this losing weight thing easier :)
My food intake certainly hasn't been perfect, but I'm proud of myself. I've made several changes in the past week or so. I honestly feel great. Hope you're feeling good. Would love to hear from you! What's tempting you? What's working for you? What goals do you have going? If you comment below, you can leave your email off of it, etc. I think people just add it, when they want to see my replies. I don't know if it's show publicly or not.
Here's to good health -oral and physical :)
Much love,
Jen
Food:
8:15 Smoothie (banana, flax seed, kale, frozen blueberries, soy milk) I was out of spinach, so I tried kale w/ it. Really couldn't tell much of a difference
12:30 Bowl of Tomato Bisque (see recipe-my fave soup), and spring mix salad w/ honey mustard dressing
2:00 Slice of apricot/almond bread w/ little bit of Earth Balance
4:00 Banana
6:00 Leftover spaghetti w/ steamed veggies: broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, cauliflower
7:00 Live Chocolate Mousse (see recipe-it's the last one) I'm telling you...so good. Be sure to use avocados that aren't too ripe or too green, it will make it taste move avocado-y, otherwise you don't taste it. I did sub pb for almond butter, since I didn't have any. Oh, and even w/ the vita mixer I had to use soy milk, because itw
