Sat. morning started off w/ Brian taking Cal to the Urgent Care. Cal had developed welts and bumps up and down his feet, legs, and it had started spreading (in one day). Thankfully it just turned out to be an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. Man, that kid.... He sure wasn't dealt the easiest card, but he deals with it all so well. The Dr. said that he can see the ear infection, but that he thinks Cal had enough time on the meds. for it to kill the infection. The Dr. let Brian know that Cal could still go swimming and that it wasn't contagious.
So, that afternoon, the boys were really excited to go to this SpongeBob event at the club. They had a good time, and it gave Brian and I time to workout together and even hit the weight room. That's a luxury we never get, so we were happy to take full advantage.
I was still waiting for this damn period yesterday. I was eating everything under house and home. I mixed some good in w/ the bad, but really the end result, is that I made brownies last night, and ate a big one w/ whipped cream on top... Menopause, c'mon!
Thankfully that bitch, Aunt Flow showed up this morning.... I was beginning to think maybe I'd gotten myself pregnant through masturbating (THAT'S A JOKE, PPL :) -Brian's had the 'ol snip, snip.
Brian had to take one of my tires into town this morning, as it went flat on me just as we were driving out of town yesterday. Thankfully, it was close enough to just turn the hazards on and turn around and grab Brian's car. Of course, it had a hole in the sidewall something-or-other, so we ended up spending $200 on a new tire. That wasn't exactly in the budget. Brian did a great job of putting the new one on, though. I love it when he does manly things like that! I think he does too, 'cause he always starts whistling when he walks back in :)
Because of the tire issue, I missed church this morning. That was a bummer. It was still a nice day full of getting things done around the house, and watching football. I even made some apricot breakfast bread tonight. It turned out pretty good. It does have apricots and almonds, though, so I'm not sure that the boys will like it. It's fairly healthy (with the exception of a cup of white flour).
Food:
9:00 Smoothie (1/2 cucumber, spinach, frozen strawberries). Not great tasting, but healthy....
10:00 Caffeine Free Diet Coke
11:30 Slice of thin crust veggie pizza and a slice of cheese pizza
1:00 Banana
4:00 PB&J on whole wheat, w/ a few Fritos..., Small piece of last nights brownie
6:30 Leftover pumpkin thai soup (see recipe) over brown rice (pretty small portion of both), large salad (spring mix, spinach, honey mustard dressing)
Caffeine Free Diet Coke
8:00 Small slice of the apricot breakfast bread
Exercise:
2 miles on the treadmill. I realize it's not a long ways, but I did it high intensity (for my fat ass anyway). I'm proud of myself, as I've now worked out for 5 days in a row. It's a modern day record for me :)
