You can actually taste the food. This is such a foreign concept for those of us who eat unconsciously. We get this craving and feel like nothing will satisfy it until we eat that fast food, drink that soda, have that chocolate or whatever your downfall may be (or all of the above, as in my case). It’s only day 3 of changing my eating habits, and I can already appreciate food again. I love it. I need to remember this feeling: this feeling of being satisfied without harming myself.
The past few days haven’t been easy….I won’t kid you, but I wake up each morning being so grateful that I followed my plan the day before. It gives me
inspiration going into each day. I feel good. I feel good in spite of my brain telling me how far I have to go…. I really do need to take this one day at a time. One meal, snack at a time. The soda is still a major issue, but as I said: it’s my last week…. That’s going to be a hard one to get rid of again. I kick myself for getting off of it so many times, only to find myself deep in the throes of addiction once again.
I’ve been a lot more active this week, although I haven’t worked out. I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning, doing extra physical things at work, etc. Next week is when I will implement a workout plan. I’m not going to make all of these major changes in my life, and still not be satisfied with my body. Working out is a major component of how I want to feel/look.
Overall, I’m feeling really good about life. The boys are doing well. Brian is doing well. And I’m still putting myself first :) The world hasn’t fallen apart. Lol
I hope this day finds you feeling well, mentally and
physically.

Food:
6:30 Glass of green juice (see recipe)
7:00 Can of Diet Coke
8:30 2 packets of instant brown sugar oatmeal w/ water
12:00
Foot long veggie on wheat (spinach, avocado, banana peppers, pickles, lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, honey mustard), 20 oz. Diet Dr. Pepper
1:30 One square of Ghirardelli dark chocolate
2:00 Bowl of grapes and a can of Diet Coke
5:00 Glass of green juice
6:00 Bowl of SW bean soup (see recipe) and a spring mix salad w/ lite vin. dressing
7:00 Bowl of a nut ice cream type thing (made in the Vitamix). It was pretty good. I'll have to add the recipe. I know it had raw almonds, soy milk, ice, cinnamon, and vanilla. I think that was it. Can do it with berries, too.
