Today I've developed a nice little bruise on my cheek as a result of the mouth surgery. Pretty. Lord, I hope that thing is gone by Wed.
Woohoo! The Grammys are starting in 13 mins. My friend and I always make our picks. I lost last year...so I'm hoping to make it up this year! We all know, I hate to lose. And I know, I couldn't stand to lose 2 years in a row. Especially to someone who is just as, or maybe more competitive than me. Go Adelle!
I must admit that I've been way lazy today.... Pathetic. I've gotten around more tonight than I have all day. Hopefully I make up for it tonight. I've got to do something.... Patience isn't my strong suit, and my perceived slowness of the weight loss is really starting to fuck with my head. If I don't have a good # on Wed., I'll have a nervous breakdown.
Food:
9:00 Smoothie (water, spinach, flax seed, banana, blueberries)
12:00 "Super greens" salad w/ lite honey mustard dressing, edamame, and a steamed mix of peppers, little amount of red potatoes, and peas. Excellent lunch. It was definitely the best meal I've had a while. Well, in at least 26 days. lol
4:00 Green tea, apple w/ choc almond dip (see recipe)
6:15 Pasta Jumble (from Dr. McDougall's cookbook) full of awesome stuff: whole wheat penne pasta, canned and fresh tomatoes, onion, swiss chard, kidney beans, celery, garlic, and green chillies. I also added a little pepper and hot sauce. Yum. Plus, steamed sugar snap peas.
Exercise:
NAFT....so far.... 7:30 Alright, finally got my fat ass moving... 2 miles on the treadmill (w/ incline) 35 mins., 307 calories. I'm so glad I did it!
