Day 1 Eat To Live!!!!!

So, I've figured I can't just be left to my own devices....although I was doing a lot better with my diet, I wasn't seeing the results I wanted quickly enough.  So, I'm dedicating myself to this program.  In an ideal world, I would eat this way for the rest of my life.  Let's hope it's an ideal world!  I love the program, and I honestly believe in it, more than I probably believe in anything.  It makes me feel great.  I finally believe that I'll be able to make you guys proud of me.  All I've ever wanted to do is inspire you, and I think this will do it   :)

When I gave up meat a couple of years ago, my friend Amy tried it at the same time.  She's loved it, and she's stuck with it.  She's also done the ETL program with me.  Once again, she's joining me on the ETL program.  You will see that she has a blog over on the left "Amy's ETL blog."  I thought it would be great to see some different ways of eating, foods, and overall philosophy, other than my take on the plan.  We are also very different.  I'm starting at 212.8 lbs (I bought a new fucking scale today, since mine at home and the one at church were so different).  Amy certainly doesn't need to disclose her weight, but she's very fit and is a great inspiration when it comes to diet and exercise.  Hopefully she'll be able to inspire, you too.  Welcome aboard Amy.

Today hasn't been the ideal first day to start the program.  Caleb's been sick, and after he started to shoot himself last night and a few times this morning (including the tub), I couldn't get him to the Dr. quick enough.  They took a stool sample, so hopefully we'll know something tomorrow.  We can't wait to find out, as his tummy has been in a lot of pain off and on since Friday.  It could be a stomach virus, or it could still be fallout from his the allergy he had to Amoxicillin last week.  And other things, that I don't quite understand.  Bottom line, I want him to feel better and soon.  It's hard to see your kids sick.

As a result of Cal's illness, I canceled my appt. w/ my trainer today.  I've also eaten at very odd times today, as I've been all over the place, with his Dr., and then once Brian got home, I ran into Princeton to workout and shop.  Bottom line, though, I followed the plan.  Tomorrow I will add a section, explaining just what the Eat to Live program is all about.  If you're interested, let me know.  You can p/u the book by Dr. Joel Fuhrman.  I tell you, it's genius.  Would love to have you join us on this life changing journey.

Great start! Keep it up. Thank you for inviting me to document my diet. It's a perfect way to keep me conscious of what I'm consuming. Hopefully I don't shit the bed this time. :)
