Can I get a What-What?!

Yay, I finally went out of my work out comfort zone a bit.  I know that I'm in terrible, terrible shape aerobically.....so I've been putting off doing more than walking.  When I do something new, I feel so awkward, and non-athletic, fat going every which way...  It must be how those BL contestants feel, when they first start.  Fat comes flying out of directions, that you didn't know existed.  Anyway, I did a workout to the Biggest Loser on the Wii this morning.  Man, it felt good!  I'm very uncoordinated w/ some things, but I was getting the hang of some of it, by the end.  Jillian even gave me a couple of "Atta Girls."  I feel inspired.  I love to sweat.  Now, if I can just get more core in awesome shape, so it doesn't feel like piss is going to drip out every time I jump rope!

Food:
9:45  Breakfast: bowl full of a banana and grapes
12:30  2 bowls of tomato bisque (see recipe)
5:00  a few raw cashews--my plan was to eat more, as I'd taken them in the car w/ me, but they were kinda stale tasting.
6:45  ----way too long between food, was starving 
Dinner:  Baked potato w/ Earth Balance buttery spread, spring mix salad w/ 4 green olives and fat free basalmic vinegar dressing, plus sauteed zuchini, garlic, tomatoes, and brocoli.  Very good dinner
8:15  Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream    -if you like really sweet, you'll love this (see re

Exercise:
10:30  Took Junior for 1/3 mile walk.  Holy crap, it's HOT out there today!
11:00  Did a 37 min workout to the Biggest Loser on the Wii.  It kicks ass!

I love your blog Jen! I have felt that way doing Zumba. I don't believe I was built to move certain ways and that work out has actually helped me realize that with practice, stretching, and making sure I'm having fun that I can do more than I think. Cass has asked if we can get Wii Fit cause she and her friends do it. Have you ever done that? I'm thinking the more variety the more likely I am to exercise cause if I don't feel like doing one maybe I'll feel more like doing the something different (oh and with the ktn rain of course).

Ash, thanks for your encouraging words. Yes, we have the Wii Fit. It's a lot of fun. Cal and I play quite a bit. The balance board can be used w/ a number of games (including the Biggest Loser game). If you're starting new, you might look into the XBox 360 Kinnect, though. I think it's hands free. I'd love one of those. I think it's better to work out, too.

Jen, yay for challenging yourself!!! Keep it up...sweat! You could even dance aroundwith Cal...anything that gets the heart rate up. BTW, you are too small for BL. You are too petite a flower to make the show. Truth. :-)
