An upside down 9

Jillian Michaels posted this on Facebook yesterday, and it was perfect timing.  I saw it as I was beating myself up for the fucking Chinese buffet we took the boys to yesterday.  I'm certainly still not proud of the way I ate, but it's over.  I didn't let it spill over into the rest of my night, and I won't let it control my today.  Hey, that almost sounded profound...  :)  Other than the mishap yesterday, I've been doing fairly well.  I really shouldn't call it following Eat to Live, though.  There's been things on my diet that don't follow his exactly.  I'll keep plugging at it, though.  And shit tomorrow's the big day....got to say goodbye to pop.

I'm listening to Christina Perri's album all the way through, for the first time.  It's some double album thing I bought off iTunes.  I love her voice.  She's such a powerful songwriter, too.  Crazy good.  I'll add the lyrics to my current favorite song, "Distance."  I love Jason Mraz, too, so makes for a perfect team.

I think Aunt Flow is trying to sneak up on my early.  I've been super tired the past few days.  I was supposed to call a close friend last night, and I was asleep by 9:30.  Never made it.  Ugh.  I'm glad I got some sleep, but pissed that I shit the bed with my friend.  But she's a good friend, which means she'll be cool about it :)  I'll call her today before football starts.

Yes, football.  My absolute favorite sport to watch (unless it's Jr. Tackle where everyone is supposed to play a full quarter, but Ryne along w/ many others only got to play on kick off return 3 times...but I won't go on about that b/c I'll blow a gasket...)  Football is here, which also means lots of texting between my cousins and me.  I love the smack talk.  Oh, and I can talk shit with the best of 'em.  Which is kind of funny, because I didn't look at any of my teams until least night.  lol  I haven't been involved in any trades or anything.  This year I also started a confidence league at work (picking the games straight up and assigning point values).  Ah, I love the smack talk at work.  Too fun.  I especially love it when a guy can't stand getting beat by a girl.  I'm also thinking of wearing my Peyton Manning shirt every single day this week.  A work friend told me to never wear that thing again.  What I heard was, wear the fuck out of that shirt.  But wearing a shirt every day may not be worth the inside joke.  Even I may not be able to go that far.  Shall see.  So, along w/ that, I'm in Sandy's family ff league, our Alaska ff league, and we started a Weekley ff team (essentially the IL Weekley's vs. the AZ Weekley's :)  Good times.  Let the smack talk begin.  And football also makes it totally acceptable to drink beer on Sundays.  I won't every Sun., for sure, but opening day....  The mountains are probably turning blue on those cans right now.

Hope you guys are having an awesome weekend,
Jen

Food:
8:45  Smoothie (water, flax seed, spinach, frozen strawberries, frozen peaches)  Let me tell you...unless you're making a smoothie w/ blueberries, using water instead of soy/rice milk doesn't quite cut it.  Doesn't taste near as good.  But I'm trying to keep some of those calories out.
10:30  Bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios w/ soy milk (I've got to quit the cereal.  Fuck)
10:45  Can of Diet Coke
12:30  Sandwich (toast w/ a little mayo, spinach, 1/2 avocado and spinach) and a spring mix salad w/ lite honey mustard dressing
2:30  Cliff Bar  Shit!!!!!!  Starving today
4:00  Orange
5:00  Can of Diet
5:30  Glass of green juice
6:30  Spring mix salad w/ lite honey mustard dressing, steamed broccoli, steamed carrots, and mashed potatoes (made w/ soy milk and Smart Balance) w/ a little gravy

Distance

The sun is filling up the room
And I can hear you dreaming
Do you feel the
way I do right now?
I wish we would just give up
Cause the best part is
falling
Call it anything but love

And I will make sure to keep my
distance
Say "I love you" when you're not listening
How long can we keep
this up, up, up?

And please don't stand so close to me
I'm having
trouble breathing
I'm afraid of what you'll see right now
I give you
everything I am
All my broken heart beats
Until I know you
understand

And I will make sure to keep my distance
Say "I love you"
when you're not listening
How long can we keep this up, up, up?

And I
keep waiting
For you to take me
You keep waiting
To save what we
have

So I'll make sure to keep my distance
Say "I love you" when
you're not listening
How long can we keep this up, up, up?

Make sure
to keep my distance
Say "I love you" when you're not listening
How long til we call this love, love, love?
