Day 1... Goal: "True hunger"

I'm looking forward to the day that my food cravings subside and I start to experience true hunger. This is going to take some time, according to Dr. Fuhrman.

5am... pre-workout smoothie (1 banana, handful of frozen strawberries, 1 scoop of Vega Whole Food Optimizer), 12oz cup of coffee with about 3 TBS of vanilla Silk Creamer
8am... apple
10:15am... 2 cups of Safeway Organics brand Lentil soup (first time I've tried it and it is fantastic. Just 100 calories, 3 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein per cup)
Noon... two packets of instant oatmeal (not on the ETL plan, but I didn't have time to pack a good lunch today)
2:30... two cutie mandarin oranges
5:30... Sam Adams Coastal Wheat beer (167 empty calories) and a big, gigantic salad containing romaine, mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms, raw sweet potatoes, alfalfa sprouts, bean sprouts, kidney beans, steamed broccoli, and sunburst tomatoes; with Annie's Naturals Lite Gingerly dressing
6:30... Alaskan White beer (157 empty calories)
*Chuck is on vacation and he's drinking beers like, well, like he's on vacation. So that's my reason for drinking two beers on a Wednesday night, and the first night of the Eat To Live program. I know it's a pathetic excuse.

calorie counter = 1,272+ whatever was in the salad.
*I'm only counting calories on days when it's easy, so I don't let them get out of control.

Exercise...
5:30am: 50 min full-body workout (group session)

Great day! I'm so jealous of the Alaskan Wheat beer. It's my fave! It's not out here....anywhere!
